Permits
Gorilla permit booking, explained
A gorilla permit is a dated pass for one person to visit one gorilla family. Permits are limited every day, and they are issued through a portal that only licensed tour operators can see.
How permit booking works
Each park releases a fixed number of permits per day, one for each visitor slot. Because the booking portal is open only to licensed operators, you cannot look up dates yourself. This is why we ask for your dates first: a named member of our office checks them for you, normally within 24 hours.
What we need from you
- Your preferred travel dates, and any flexibility around them.
- The number of people in your group.
- The full name and passport details of each traveller, exactly as they appear on the passport.
- Which country you prefer, or a request for our advice.
Booking tips that protect your trip
- Ask early for the drier months, which fill first.
- Keep your dates flexible by a day or two when you can.
- Match your flights to your permit date, not the other way round. Ask us before you buy flights.
What the quote covers
We quote your trek as one figure for your dates, group and lodge level, so you see what is included before you commit. Ask for your quote and we will explain every line.
