3-day Mgahinga gorilla trek
A quieter route into the Virunga volcanoes, with the option to add golden monkey tracking.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1
Journey to Mgahinga
Travel to the Kisoro area near the park, by road or by flight to a nearby airstrip, then settle into your lodge.
Day 2
Gorilla trek
Attend the briefing at the park gate and trek to the gorilla family on the volcano slopes. Spend one hour with them.
Day 3
Return
Add golden monkey tracking if you like, then travel back to Entebbe or Kampala.
