4-day Mgahinga gorilla and golden monkey safari
Mgahinga is the only Ugandan park where mountain gorillas and golden monkeys live side by side.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1
Your driver-guide briefs you and collects you from your hotel. Stop at the Mpambire royal drum makers and the Equator, take lunch in Mbarara, then drive on to Kisoro and your lodge. The drive takes about nine to ten hours.
Day 2
After the briefing at the park headquarters, trek into the Virunga forest to find the gorilla family. Spend one hour with them, then return to the lodge.
Day 3
Join rangers for the golden monkey experience in the bamboo forest. You may add a Batwa cultural walk in the afternoon on request.
Day 4
Drive back to Entebbe International Airport with stops along the way.

The road journey is long. A domestic flight shortens it. We quote both options.
